Why Uplevel?

After seeing so many adult skaters struggle with overwhelm and confusion and over-correction of symptoms, I created the Uplevel program so you have all the information and tools to skate with ease and clarity.

This SOS™ program will complement your current training plan and coaching, and if you don’t currently have a coach, it will set you on course.

The off ice training will make the most of your time on the ice, by building your strength, flexibility, body awareness, technique and understanding, training plans and access to top experts.

You can join all the sessions from the comfort of your home.

Being centered and balanced is at the core of solid technique, but it is also part of the holistic approach to SOS™. We shine light on why we skate, and what we hope to gain through this practice.

Through these insights, we are mindful about our approach and can feel good about our investment and our progress.

Feel connected in a supportive community of adult skaters. You will not be the exception, this program is only for adult skaters. You will work with Mimi and a host of expert coaches who are skilled in, and passionate about teaching adults. You are the first priority, not last. I see you, want to serve you.

What’s Included in my Monthly Membership ?

Investment: $179.00 Monthly

WEEKLY TECHNIQUE CLASS- ZOOM

This class covers it all. We examine the key principles and positions of SOS. We introduce and reinforce the SOS core principles: Alignment, Counter-Balance, Core-Rotation. We will integrate these principles to skating skills, turns, spins and jumps.

We get clear on the 3 Principles and 3 Positions, and by immersing in this system, you will have the ability to fix and correct almost all the mysteries of why things are not working for you.

Class structure includes:

  1. Review and feedback of Skater videos (homework from the previous week)

  2. Technical Lesson including off ice demonstrations, on ice videos, illustratons, tools and moe

  3. Intergration: Key exercises and practice elements in “barre” style off ice class.

Live Zoom Weekly on Sundays at 11:00 am EST, 90 Min (recording available in library)

Video Library

The video library of over 1000 classes is an invaluable resource and is available at your fingertips. You can search videos by topic and find an encyclopedia of skating mastery. All live classes are posted daily and available to review anytime including yoga and sport-specific strength.

All previous seminars and specialty classes that are for purchase on the SOS website are free to Uplevel Members.

  • Yoga for Skaters

    This class will help with flexibility, awareness, alignment and structural integrity. It will also help you relax your busy mind, and aid in recovery and injury prevention.

    Mimi is a master yoga therapist with 30 years of experience and trained. in various styles and modalities

    Weekly on Tuesday at 8:30 am EST, 50 mins-

  • Strength/Stability for Skaters

    This class incorporates techniques drawing from Pilates/Barre/HIIT/ Physical Therapy and more.

    It will help with overall and core strength and integration, alignment and conditioning.

    Weekly on Thursday at 8:30 am EST, 50 mins

  • Mentoring/Goals and Strategy

    To help keep you on track of your skating vision and goals, periodically we will asess where you are, where you want to go, and the steps necessary to get you there.

  • Physical Therapy for Skaters with Dr. Katya and Dr. Carly and Dr. Carly

    PT sessions are woven into the Uplevel Program so that skaters may integrate specific strength, mobility and flexiblity supplemental training. Both Dr. Carly and Dr. Katya are DPT and elite levels skaters/coaches.

  • Private Facebook Group

    SOS™ Uplevel Program Private Facebook Page. is a place to post your homework and skating videos, get feedback, encouragement, answers, get inspiration and connect with group members for collaboration and support.

FAQ

What if I miss class or have to work at class time?

Don’t worry, all classes will be recorded and stored for you to access 

What if I already have a coach?

Great! Many of our members have coaches. I am hopeful your coach will see your attendance in SOS™ Uplevel as a plus, for you and for them, as they see you thrive, get stronger, and have more “aha” moments. .

SOS Uplevel offers information, training and community—the extra support you have been wanting to be a more balanced and focused skater.

Don’t have a coach? This program will give you a system to identify and track your progress.

What if I only skate one to two times a week? Or I am not skating for a while, my rink is closed?

Great! This program is complimentary to your skating routine no matter how much or little you skate. It is supportive and supplemental and offers high return and makes the most of your ice time even if it is limited.  If you are off the ice for a time, it is a great way to come back stronger and clearer than before.

What if I join and it is not for me? Or if I need to take a break?

No problem, you can cancel your membership anytime. We do recommend giving the program at least three months to see the benefits and results.  You can also pause your membership as needed if you wish to take a break.
